VDC Awarded $900k Contract for Ruggedized Thin Client Display (TCD) for US Navy

Video Display Corporation (OTC:VIDE), a world-class supplier of rugged display products and systems,simulation solutions, displays and display components, as well as TEMPEST products and servicestoday announced the award of a contract with a Major Prime Contractor worth approximately $900k to develop, qualify, and deliver production Ruggedized Thin Client Displays (TCD’s) for use by the US Navy.

The contract involves the design and environmental qualification of TCD’s for use on new US Navy and FMS ships. Development and qualification is scheduled to be completed by end of calendar year with delivery of the first 75 production units in first quarter of 2023. Follow on production contracts are expected in 2023 for approximately $1.5M to $2.0M. “This represents over a year of effort and is a significant achievement in our initiative to get back into the ruggedized display business.” stated Ron Ordway, CEO of Video Display Corp. “We anticipate several other positive contract announcements over the next few months.”

The ruggedized industrial and military displays are also complemented by other rugged electronics such as computers, servers, keyboards, trackballs and mice. VDC can customize products or design and build from scratch for special needs and applications to the industrial and military standards for shock, vibration, EMI, altitude, and others. All products are built and controlled under VDC’s certified ISO 9001:2015 Quality Control System in VDC’s corporate owned facility located in Cocoa, Florida.
